Pause or offboard a client

Suspend a client who hasn't paid, or remove one cleanly, and revoke their access.

Pause (unpaid subscription)

From the project's ⋯ menu on your dashboard (or the Super Admin console), choose Pause. Everything stops: all automation/crons skip the project, and the on-page snippet serves no fixes, so the client loses the live-site benefit until they pay. Their dashboard shows a paused banner. Click Resume to restore it instantly.

Archive (remove from your list)

Archive soft-deletes the project: it's hidden from your dashboard but all data (crawls, fixes, history) is kept and restorable via “Show archived.” There's no hard delete, so a mis-click or a returning client loses nothing.

Revoke their access (do this on offboard)

  • WordPress, Users → Profile → Application Passwords → delete the one you created.
  • Search Console, the client removes your Google access (or revoke it in your own Google account if you connected your own).
  • Any API keys, clear them from the Connections page and rotate at the provider if needed.
  • Remove the snippet / Nexus helper from their site if you no longer manage it.

Pause is a billing lever (reversible in one click); archive is housekeeping (reversible, keeps data). Revoking credentials is the security step, always do it when an engagement truly ends.
